Jim Taylor

Jim Taylor was brought up on a farm in the neighbourhood of Garlogie in Aberdeenshire. He is a nephew of the late Tom Reid of Cullerlie, the famous Bothy Ballad King, so it is not surprising that Jim has a repertoire of bothy ballads. Jim is a favourite singer in the northeast with a fine selection of old songs and northeast cornkisters in his repertoire. He is a popular compere at the local village ceilidhs and at the annual Cullerlie Traditional Singing Weekend.
